About us

The Car Wash Association was established in 2007 by wash operators and industry suppliers and is now officially incorporated as part of the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI).

 

As the sole trade body representing this sector we act as a voice representing our members to the government, the media and consumers.

 

We are is a self-regulating not-for-profit industry body involved in the practice of setting quality and safety standards by promoting best practice and fair competition.

 

Our members comprise of forecourt operators that run a car wash business on their premises including automatic rollover or conveyor wash, self-serve jet washing facilities or regulated hand wash. Also included are independent stand-alone self-service jet wash and conveyor wash operators and the leading car wash equipment manufacturers and distributors.
